The Pennsylvania Department of Human Resources is responsible for maintaining the Childline and Abuse Registry. The Registry accepts information from public and professional sources concerning the abuse of children. If a person becomes named as an alleged perpetrator of child abuse, the government may take action by seeking to place the alleged perpetrator’s identity in the database of the Childline Registry.
An accused perpetrator of child abuse, facing the placement of identity on the database, may believe that the allegations against him or her are unfair or unjust. Under such circumstances, an administrative appeal may be taken with the Department of Human Resources. Miller Lyden P.C. attorneys are experienced in handling Childline Appeals. Strict deadlines apply to the filing of these appeals. Contact our office as soon as possible to afford us the best opportunity to assist you.
